Hello: I wonder if someone on the Thailand board could help me please? I am English, living in England. My mother's uncle lived and worked as a teacher in Thailand from about 1927. His family lost touch with him but I am trying to find out what happened to him. I have found a few references to him on the internet, in connection with schools in Thailand but most of them are Thai language sites. This means I am unable to read what they say about my great uncle. I do know that at one time he was teaching at the Amnuay Silpa School in Bangkok and that he edited and revised a "Scholar's Siamese - English Dictionary" in 1936. In 1927 he was said to be "in the service of the Siamese Government attached to the Department of Education".Is there anyone reading this message who could look at the websites and give me a translation of what they say about him please? His name was ARCHIBALD GEORGE BEAUMONT. Most sites seem to refer to him as "A.G. BEAUMONT". If anyone was prepared to put this name into a search engine and see if they can find anything about him I would be so grateful. I have read everything there is about him in English.Thank you. Ann Rains.
