Huang but i know almost nothing. I have a family book with my father's lineage but I don't know how far it goes back after his grandfather's generation. My father was born in Hsinchu, Taiwan. It was the same place both his parents were born but I've never been there. I am desperate to get my family lineage down as my father's lineage book does not contain the names of women who marry into the family, and neither documents the birth of females in the family nor the children they have whether they be boys or girls. My grandmother's surname was Li/Lee however you spell it. I still have known relatives residing in Taiwan but outside my father's generation i do not know the rest before his generation. this is so hard! not only because the romanization of chinese names are not the same if the name written in romanization and when actually written in chinese they look like separate names with nothing in common except the surname. can we trade information or discuss?
