I am an Amerasian born in South Korea around the spring of 1974. I have very little information to go on, but apparently there are very few Ameraisan children who survived childhood during those years. The average death rate was four years of age for "children who were given up for adoption". Most children were never adopted due to social stigma, most were abandoned, and die from malnutrition or not being immunized. I was lucky. I was adapted by an American solider and brought to the US when I was six years old. It's all been rumored, but my father may have been of Irish American decent, his name might be Eddie McWilliams, he might be from the Chicago area, and might have been already married with children.
Thank you for posting, hope you find who you are looking for.
