I believe he was a son of Thomas Sampson Farmer and Alice S Stephens. His wife Nellie (Holmes) died in Dehra Dun in 1942. Thomas Sampson farmer died 1874 in Cawnpore just a year after his youngest child Thomas Stephens Farmer was born .
Thomas Stephens Farmer was my husbands grandfather.Nellie death record is available in the India Office records of the British Library. I know this because we got her confused with My husbands grandmother who was also Nellie ( Trout)
