Yes, I've been very lucky - a friend gave me the 1900 Directory which is in excellent condition and once belonged to a Penang merchant. My other Directories date from 1935.
W. HAMILTON is listed as Assistant Master, Penang Free School. The Headmaster was W. HARGREAVES MA and the Directory lists 17 Assistant Masters, 6 of whom appear to be European. The Ladies Directory lists MRS W. HAMILTON as living on Clove Hill Rd.
Stewart & McIntyre were at 3 Bishop St and the company clerk was Shaik Mahomed.
