My mother is Japanese, born December 2, 1927. Name before marraige was, SUMIKO KANEMOTO. I am trying to find out more about the KANEMOTO surname. She once mentioned to me that it was an old sumurai name. She was born in Kyoto, and family lived there for years. So,is there anyone familiar with the surname, KANEMOTO?
