I'm at a dead end in my family tree as I am looking for the parents of my Greatgrand Mother Querina Filomena Faris. She was beleived to be 100% Portuguese but her photos suggest she maybe part asian.

She married my Greatgrand Father Timotheo Emmanuel da Silva before 1898 and they moved to Japan and lived in Kobe and in Yokohama. They had 6 children, Guilherme Alberto da Silva 1904, Ernesto Isidoro da Silva 1899, Julia Vicenta da Silva 1906, Jose Ricardo da Silva abt 1898, Emily Cacilia da Silva 1902, Johnathan "Johnny" da Silva abt 1900. Most of their children and grand children immigrated to the US after the war.

Timotheo Emmanuel da Silva was born on Jan 24 1874 in Macau. He died in Japan in 1947 on the Bluff in Yokohama, Japan. He was beleived to be 100% Portuguese but his photos suggest he maybe part asian.

Can anyone help me trace back to their parents?
I know they were both Catholic. Does anyone know how to contact the Cathloic church in Macua or in Hong Kong for records?

Does anyone know how to order birth certificats for people born in Hong Kong who only speek english? Is there perhaps someone who could help me do this?
