I'm interested in any information about the Marschner and Carr families located in Rangoon, Burma.
Frank Henry Marschner (b1873-1941) was a purser for the Bibby line based in rangoon, he was married to Kathleen Genivive Carr (b1886-1941)a teacher and stenographer. Their children include my grandmother, Gloria Catherine (b1924), Constance a nurse(1915-1941, married to a D'Cruz), Robyn (b1920-1993, son), Irene Margaret a stenographer (b1914, m.1942 to Maurice Baroni).
Frank, Kathleen and Constance(with 2yo Daughter) were killed in the Japanese bombing of Rangoon on 23/12/1941.
Kathleen Carr was part burmese, her father was John Peter Carr (b?) and her mother was Sarah (unknown).
Frank (Francis) Henry Marschner was born in India to Henry Marschner (b1833) and Margaret (Maria) Waterfield.
