I am a descendant of Captain Robert Salusbury Trevor who was killed in the First Afghan War of 1839-1842. At the time his wife and 7 children were taken hostage and held for a number of months, in which time Mary, his wife gave birth to another daughter.

I know what happened to 4 of the children, (the elder boys) but am looking for information about what happened to Mrs Trevor, nee Mary Spottiswoode, and the rest of her brood when they were rescued and returned to either England or Scotland.
