Hi
I was born in Salisbury back in 1957 when it was still Southern Rhodesia. My father was first generation, my grandfather having come from Scotland with his brothers. Growing up I thought it was always 'in community' so I was very surprised to see that it has them listed otherwise. However he did have his own company, being the only monumental mason there at the time for a while so perhaps he was cany enough to keep their stuff seperate. I wonder then why some names are missing, unless they are captured in another register inadvertantly. One thing this has taught me is patience. You go ages with no breaks and then suddenly another little gem. I do have the name of someone there who is willing to go and look stuff up but I have not personally used them. Must be my scottish ancestry coming through.
I shall continue to enjoy this ride and feel that I have come to know my ancestors but would give anything to be able to meet them.
