Like many other posts here, I have recently discovered that I had ancestors from Sicily who moved to Tunis, Tunisia.

My g. grandfather Antonio Alessi is listed in the US 1920 census as born in "Tunis" abt 1879. His wife Grazia (Grace)is listed as born in Italy. They were married about 1898 (either in Tunis or Sicily).

Antonio and Grazia's first son, Dominic Alessi, was born in Tunis abt 1904 and the family migrated from Tunis to the US in 1906.

If anyone out there has any info on the Alessi family in Tunisia, or knows where now one can find birth/marriage records on line...please help!
