Another theory concerning the possible origin of the name ndau is that the word was a form of greeting, perhaps such as the greeting commonly used by the Venda people? Something that bothers me about the experience of our people is that they were secretive and it seems to me that they were anxious to hide their true identity and blend in with the people they settled amongst.
