I am still searching for information about my grandfather ALBERT DOUPLOY born about 1898 who married GLADYS MURIEL WHEELER at St Cyprians Church Durban on 3 Nov 1917. On the marriage certificate it states that his age is 24 and his occupation was given as 'soldier'. I believe that he possibly had a sister named MARIA ELIZABETH DOUPLOY born about 1890 who was married to CHARLES WILLIAM SMITH also at St Cyprians Church in Durban on 12 Mar 1910. It is possible that the name was later changed to du Plooy because Albert's son was RONALD ROBERT DU PLOOY born 1918 in Durban. I believe that Albert died in Durban in the late 1950s or in the 1960s.
