I am trying to find information about my paternal grandfather. All I know is that his name was Albert du Plooy and that he died in Durban possibly late 1950s or early 1960s. He married Gladys Wheeler but they were later divorced. They had at least one child, my father, Ronald Robert du Plooy born in Durban on 11 November 1918 died 11 October 1979. My grandmother Gladys later married Vernon Visick and she is buried in the West Street Cemetery.
If anyone knows anything about Albert du Plooy and can help me I would appreciate it. I live in Ireland and can't get to any of the South African archives.
