I am trying to find info about a relative. All I know is that he enlisted in RIC in 1848 and left because he emigrated. He lodged an emigration deposit for James Mealey to Australia in 1859. I am assuming that he was a sibling or possibly an uncle. James Mealey and his brother William Mealey (who also migrated to Australia, sponsored by James) were from Killaloe, Co Clare Ireland, so I'm assuming Michael Mealey was also from there.
So far I haven't found an immigration record for Michael into Australia so he may have migrated elsewhere?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
