Just had a friend give me a list of her ancestors on a fan chart from Seychelels Archives, The last named above were supposedly from London, but the name does not even appear on the IGI.
I did find one of those post 1991 IGI submissions with no other information and no submitter details for marriage c1829 of Marie Joseph Charlot to Jacques Edmond, with a dau Amelia Jacques Edmondsand her marriage to Adolphe Turpin.
My friends chart had Marie Joseph Charlot no christian name for Edmond, and a son Dolzer (Doyer) Rodger Edmond.
The chart commences with; Chalot and Gabrielle Michault. Thomas Landrousse and Catherine Saunders. John Dominique Carret and Euphemie Royer (of Bourbon). I did find on IGI a christening for Euphemie Royer in 1765 on St Benoit, Reunion Island d/o Henry Royer and Marie Gertrude Pitou, this looks a likely link as Jean Carret and Euphemie had a daughter Gertrude Nancy.
Sure would appreciate any pointers in how to track any of these families.
While looking for these I also stumbled across a Poirrier born Orleons in 1699, I have ancestors of that name from around Marchenoir, area.

Are you looking for information on the families in Seychelles or before their arrival in Seychelles. Also what type of information do you need or are looking for.

Primarily after ANYTHING on them, they seem to have been in the Seychelles for several Generations.
The Landrousse branch (From the chart) has Thomas LANDROUSSE married to Catherine SAUNDERS a son Thomas born London, married 12 June 1820, to Gertrude Nancy CARRET. She was daughter of Jean Dominique CARRET and Euphemie ROYER, from Bourbon.
Marie Joseph CHARLOT is daughter of (Again my source is the fan chart) Gabrielle MICHAUT but father is listed as (Marie) CHARLOT?
Ernest SIMEON, from Reunion Island married Marie Rosine L'ANE ? a daughter of Vincent L'ANE and Helene born 20 Sept 1826 Ernest and Marie Rosine had a son Charles Le Clare SIMEON 3 Oct 1851.

We/ I am the 4th generation of EDMOND born in Seychelles. The family originate from South France, they were corsair and ships carpenters. They came via Reunion, Charles EDMOND also known as Grand Charles, married a DIDON/DAINDON daughter Zelie, My grand mother. The DIDON/DAINDON were planters and landowners. We currently live in England sisters in Holland, Florida, Australia and Malysia. Relatives in France and Britain. (we have been involved in the affairs of the Seychellois community in Britain and EU past 30 years, UKSCA, FECAS-ECSVS)

This EDMOND family from Seychelles, is also related to the LALLANDE and LAFORTUNE family by marriage, one of the daughter three daughters.

Hi,

My maiden name is Edmond and my great grandfather came to Mauritius from Seychelles. He was Captain of a ship named Ahora. He married here and had one son (my grandfather) and a daughter. The latter died a spincter with no kids while my grandfather had 3 sons: Jean, Guy and Roland (my father). They all live in Mauritius.

I would be keen to get more information on the remaining family of Henry Edmond (my ancestor from Seychelles).
