“I have records from a family bible that state Ellen was the daughter of Daniel Wycliffe Sargent and 'Utsekanua born Iddah, River Niger, West Africa 1856'. Ellen's date of birth is recorded as April 20th 1894.
The record stops with Ellens marriage in 1897 to Herbert Palmer.
Family members have descibed her as a chiefs daughter in the past.

I have noted that two corrections are needed to this earlier posting. It should read a family register not a family bible. I also need to correct Ellen date of birth, this is recorded as April 20th 1874, not 1894
