Looking for descendants of Mississippi slaves of Prospect Hill Plantation in the United States.(Jefferson County,Miss) that were sent back home to Liberia. Their slaveowner promised his slaves that they will be set free to return home after his death.Issac Ross died in 1836 and his family contested the will. The court battle went on for years and finally after more than fifty years they sailed home to Liberia. Some families were left behind. Let me know if you have any info on the families.
