No 3699 Charles Brand Black was a member of the Kenya Regiment, during the Mau Mau troubles. I believe he could be a relation of mine and that his father was Matthew Alexander Black (my Grand Uncle) who was a telegraph engineer in Nairobi, he died in 1951 and is buried in the Forest Road cemetary. I know that Charles applied for probate of his will in 1951.

I also believe that Matthew was married to Elizabeth Margaret Millar Baxter Black nee BRAND, she died in 1950.
