I have reason to believe that the family of Ewyn Latimer Leng and wife Margaret Annie Tutenberg traveled from Kent (or thereabouts) to Kenya (or thereabouts) in about 1904. There first child, Elsie M, appears to have been born there, but they returned to England before 1910 for their first trip to Canada.

Does anyone know about a mission or settlement in East Africa to which the Leng family might have belonged? Ewyn Leng lists his occupation as clerk/tailor/farmer and his religion as Anglican/Church of England, so there doesn't appear to be a religions or missionary connection. Any details about migration from England to the Kenya area in the early 1900's would be most welcome.

Thank you.

Janet
