Yes, Abd al-Rahman Ibrahima was a prince among slaves. He went back to Liberia and some also some family memmbers. Some of his descendants still reside in the south.He was a slave for Thomas Foster. The court battle went on for years, but he finally made it home.He died shortly after he arrived in Liberia.His father was Ibrahima Sori Mawdo.

Supposedly my gggrandmother was taken from Guinea. She was about 12 or 13 yrs. old at the time. She had two sons at a certain time Howard (My ggrandfather) and George. Howard was sold away from his family and never knew what happened to them. William Howard Fields was born in Missouri and was sold 3 times in New Orleans. Back in the age of slavery a prince named Ibrahima Sory Barry was captured from the kingdom of Fouta Diallon(GUINEA-West AFRICA).Iheard that he went back to Liberia.Iwould like to have informatios about slaves they sent to Liberia ro any record of BARRY from the west coast of Africa.

I believe great great great grandmother Mam Bellie was born in Guinea and taken as a slave to Dominca in the West Indies. I am not sure of spelling.
