Hi . I'm African American, and would love to be able to find at least a few of my African relatives. I don't really know where to begin, so I'll just start by sharing a bit of information about myself. Firstly, 72% of my DNA comes from Africa, and breaks down as follows : Cameroon / Congo, 35% ; Ivory Coast / Ghana, 16% ; Nigeria, 10% ; Benin / Togo, 5% . My African trace regions are : Senegal, 5%, and Africa Southeastern Bantu, 1%. Secondly, my own last name is, of course, Irving. Other surnames in my family tree include Lyons, Galbraith, Bruce, Stuart / Stewart, Bruce and Irvine, among others. I am also a descendent of King Malcolm Mackenneth of Scotland. If your family comes from any of the above places in Africa, you have some European background, and you know that you have some or all of the above surnames in your family tree, please inbox me. I would love to compare information and see if we're related. Thank you very much !
