My grandfather, Nazar, had been in Egypt (born there???) and was a soldier of fortune, most likely in the late 1800's and/or early 1900's. All I know is that supposedly his family was killed during the genocide (the later one that took place in 1915 or the earlier one that took place in the 1800's). I think he was in the French Foreign Legion at one point but am not positive. I'm not sure when he came to America or from/to which ports.
My grandmother Maritza was from Musa Dagh and was brought over from Port Said during the genocide. Her brothers were part of the resistance there, from what I was told; I'm not sure but I think the ship took them from Port Said to France and then to Boston.
Thanks...
