Serrao from Madeira, Portugal

i'm looking for information on anyone with the last name serrao from madeira, portugal who immigrated to africa. my grandmother's brother, abel pereira serrao, supposedly immigrated to transvaal, south africa to work in the gold mines. unsure when, but probably sometime around 1910. there may have been another brother named either antonio (antone?) pereira serrao or manuel pereira serrao who immigrated to either angola, transvaal or mozambique. i would appreciate any information that i get. thank you

Has anybody seen the documentary Escape from Luanda? Its about three students who attend a music school in Angola and how they strive to get through the year despite the difficulties they face.

I was born in Portugal in the city of Lisbon my surname was adapted from my grandfather who orinaginally came from Mozambique and married my grandmother in Lisbon named Maria Da Conceicao Do Carmo Fache.
