David Alexander Syers, ancestor of many Midwest US Syers families

Are you related to this man? David Alexander was born in 1820 to George William and Elizabeth (Harned) Syers. George's parents may have been Alexander and Christiana (Hill) Syers of MD/VA, married ca. 1796. David Alexander had two sisters and several half siblings. His grandfather may have been the immigrant ancestor, and he most likely came from the British Isles.* For more information on the Syers surname, its spelling variations, and others who are researching Syers ancestry, visit  Syers Seeker's Nest
COMING SOON: The Syers Seeker E-zine (replacing the Syers Seeker Newsletter)
*There was also a family from Germany that changed its name from VonZeiger to Syers.
