Hello and welcome to the JUBB Board!

This board is ONLY to be used for the discussion of the surname JUBB; any off-topic messages will be either deleted or moved to a more relevant board.

If you have never posted before on a board or would just like to review the guidelines then please look at the board help from the links at the bottom of the page, In particular, it would be useful to consult the guidelines on what constitutes a great post to get yout message noticed.

If you haven't time to do that.... then briefly all posts should have a meaningful subject line with the firstname and surname of the person you are researching, a date and a location.
For example: Mary JUBB m James JONES Alberta, Canada 1912 or David JUBB b Manchester, England 1763.

Please remember that these boards are international so don't assume that just giving the town of birth will suffice - there are several places called London or Pennsyvania around the world - give the country as well. Also when referring to events like 'the Civil War' ask yourself who might be reading the post - are you referring to the American Civil War, the English Civil War or which Civil War?

Please also remember to classify your post correctly and put ONLY surnames that are contained in the message in the surname box separated by commas. That way your message will be found by people who are researching the same name.

If your subject line is not useful e.g just 'JUBB' or 'Searching for my family' then I reserve the right to change it to something more meaningful - these messages are goung to be around a long time and be added to - relevant subject lines will attract interest from researchers; 20 called 'my family' will not.

As this surname has its origins in the United Kingdom then I have put up a webpage with some useful sites if you haven't researched in this country before. http://www.genealogy.bathgatehall.co.uk/UKuseful.htm

Finally, if you want some help or need advice then do contact me.

Thanks and Happy Posting!
