Welcome to the Isham surname message board! Use the Search function to look for folks researching your area of interest, and post your own queries and information. A few tips and such:

1) Make sure the subject line of your message gives info on what the message contains, and enough info to interest fellow researchers. A subject line that says, "Researching family," "Ishams," etc. usually won't get very many lookers.

2) The Surname field is for the surnames contained in your message. Don't put all the surnames you're working on, only those contained in that particular message. Use commas between the surnames, not slashes, etc. An example of how the field should look is:
Isham, Staples, Thompson

3) Don't post anything under copyright, including obituaries. Instead, give the pertinent information included in the copyrighted material and then give a link or address where the entire article/obit can be found. Or offer to do look-ups from books you have.

4) Any posting of a rude or insulting nature will be immediately removed. We're all here to have fun and learn more about genealogy, not to read your personal gripes.

5) Instead of posting chatty and personal messages to one another here, e-mail your new-found cousins or fellow researchers privately. By clicking on their name you will see their e-mail address. It's coded so that spammers can't pick it up, but you will be able to read it.
