Staff Notes - on "Review Objections"

Classification: Query
Introducing notes from Message Board Staff on board administration. From time to time, these notes will be posted to highlight current observations.
The first item to be addressed here is on the 'Review Objections' tool, commonly called the Objections Queue. Important to the overall health of the system, it is to be found on the upper toolbar above this Board Administrator News. This is the tool linked directly from the 'Report
Abuse' button on every board posting, to be compiled in the ObjQ for the individual Board Admin.
While the original purpose was to let Admins know when a message was out of line with the rules and guidelines, this has developed into a multi-use communication with additional value. With this evolution, the tool has become a major means of identifying and recording specific problems encountered in the maintenance of the boards and a place where such glitches and problems can be accessed conveniently by Staff for research and resolution.
Summary: Utilizing the 'Report Abuse' button [for users] linked to the 'Review Objections' tool [for Admins and Staff], provides direct communication to implement the standards of the RootsWeb/Ancestry Message Board system.
