Hi to all. (apologizing for length)
Asking for directions/assistance in regard to information of my maternal grandfather and his parents.
G.father .. John Thomas (known as Thomas/Tom) Redmond, born Feb 1875, in Ireland, ? Linendid, died March, 1952 Kettering, UK.
1st marriage to Alice Carlton(1876-1900), Feb 1896, in Lanarkhire, Scotland and had 2 daughters, Gertrude Maude(1899-1899) & Alice Margaret(1900-1935). Alice(mother/wife) died about 5 months later after the birth of her daughter Alice. Alice was then placed in Kilmalcolm Orphanage (1901 census) as her father was o/s (Boer war).I'm unable to find Alice on the 1911 census.
At the time of the Redmond/Carlton marriage, Tom's father (William) was alive and his mother was down as Redmond nee Lochhead. By the time Tom remarried in 1905 (to my g.mother, Caroline McCreedy), his father had died and his mother had remarried, being now Webster(formally Redmond-nee Lochhead).
So far I have been unable to find any thing on both Gt.g.parents and so I'm seeking advice/guidance.
