Can anyone tell me the location of the home of Martin Turpin and/or James Turpin in Anderson County in the early 1800's? Martin Turpin married Mary Elizabeth Russell in Knox County in 1805, but apparently Martin's family and the family of his son James lived in Anderson County by the 1840's. I am wondering if they might have lived at the site of Turpin Spring--located on Blockhouse Valley Road.
