John M. Stickel, 75 years old, died at 12:05 o'clock this morning at the home of his brother, Elroy [Ellery?] Stickel, at Perryopolis, following a lingering illness. Mr. Stickel was the son of the late David and Martha [Margaret?] McClain Stickel, being born at Perryopolis. His wife preceded him in death 11 years ago. He is survived by one brother, Elroy [Ellery?], his stepmother, Mrs. Nevada Stickel, and one half brother David Stickel of Baltimore. The funeal service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home of the brother. Rev. Spear of Belle Vernon Christian Church will officiate. Internment will be made in Providence Cemetery near Perryopolis. [See his father David Stickel's obit for correct? names.]
