I was wondering if anyone could provide me with information about Adeline Nesbitt who was born in Dickson County, TN abt 1814 and married Thomas Hudgins on Mar 26th, 1833. Since she lived in Dickson County at this early date, I assume that she is related to the Nesbitt family that included the pioneers Robert Nesbitt and Col. John Nesbitt, but I can find no proof of this. I have searched through the records available on this site and through William J. Nesbitt's book, "Up from Edrom" and found no other mention of an "Adeline Nesbitt" living at that time in Dickson county. It is possible that this marriage record is a misprint, and the "Adeline Nesbitt " mentioned is actually "Angline Nesbitt," a daughter of John and Robert's brother Nathan Nesbitt (who later moved to Carroll County, TN). However, this is only a guess. If anyone knows about "Adeline" or "Angeline" Nesbitt, I would certainly appreciate the help.
