Lloyd Carl Keehn, the son of Carl and Anna (Geisler) Keehn was born on June 25, 1920 at Gresham, Nebraska. He received his education in Seward and Polk Counties. The family moved to Boone County in 1939. Lloyd enlisted in the navy on December 27, 1941. He spent 35 months on ships in the South Pacific. He was honorably discharged on October 2, 1945.

On May 20, 1944 Lloyd was united in marriage to Geraldine Stull in Seattle, WA. Following Lloyd’s discharge they moved back to Nebraska and stayed with his folks that first winter. On April 1, 1946, they bought the “John King” farm 4 miles east of Albion. The couple lived on the farm until 1970 when they moved into the new house they built in Albion. However, Lloyd continued to farm the land. In October of 1998 Lloyd entered the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion. It was there that he passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 86 years of age.

Lloyd was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #162 and VFW Post #736 of Albion.

He is survived by his wife Geraldine of Albion; 2 children: Sandra Godel of Norfolk, NE; David Keehn of Hastings, NE; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Vernon and wife Donna of Bella vista, AR; Delmer and wife Marjorie of St. Edward, Nebraska; 1 sister: Berniece Gress and husband Gerald of Albion; along with other relatives and friends.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother Gerald; 2 sisters: Dorothy Heitman and Ilene Hoffer.

FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. DAY: Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006

CHURCH: Zion Lutheran Church TOWN: Albion, Nebraska

MINISTER: Rev. Larry Sydow

CEMETERY: Rose Hill Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post #162 and VFW Post #736 of Albion.

VISITATION: Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
