Subject: two sons, same name, alive at same time

Surnames: Huylenbroek, Cruybeeck

One family in Bruxelles had two sons called Joseph (Huylenbroek), both alive and well at the same time.
A second had two sons called Jean-Baptiste (Cruybeeck). The second died before the first.
Was this common in 19thC Belgium? Or were my ancestors just weird? ;-)
