I have a birthdate of Nov. 22, 1835 for James, but am thinking that we are talking about the same James. I know that my James was married to Mary Scott and their daughter's name was Anna Weir Gibson. She married Henry Hercules Switzer and they were my great grandparents. (They also had a son, William Gibson) Any further information on the Wier family that you could give me would be greatly appreciated. I could give you information on James Gibson's descendants if you would like it. I have a picture of Henry and Anna Weir Gibson Switzer and family as well.
