Molalla isn't far from where I live, so the post caught my eye. It isn't, however, in Marion county, but in Clackamas. One of my favorite sites for finding people is www.whitepages.com. Scott doesn't show up there or in the surrounding area, so I tried Goodman in Union, OR. One family there--it is a very small town. I'd pick up the phone and see if you could find Scott's sister. Have you tried working from the NC end--a family member wrote that obit and should be able to provide contacts--his wife is still alive. i wish you a successful search.
