The Rebecca nee Whitley Ashcraft was born in Illinois about 1837 the child of Shelton and Catherine??? Whitley in Macon Co. She married Jacob ashcraft around 1855 in the adjoining county of Christian. Rebeccas sister Jane(listed incorrectly as James in the 1850 census) was my GGGrandmother who married John Wesley Tannahill. I lost track of Rebecca and Jacob after about 1870.
