I am looking for information on a Harriet POWELL who married Asa PHILLIPS 3 Aug 1844 in Roberson County, NC. Asa PHIILLIPS also married Jannett POWELL, Harriet's sister, 31 Jan 1860 in Cumberland County, NC. The bondsman for their marriage was Susan POWELL. In the 1850 Columbus County, NC census Asa PHILLIPS, wife Harriet, Jannett POWELL and a brother of Harriet and Jannett were located in Fair Bluff TWP. Does anyone have any information on this family of POWELLs and Asa PHILLIPS? The three counties mentioned above are adjoining so possible they are connect to you POWELLs in Columbus County.
