MRS. ELIZA CANNON

Mrs. Eliza Cannon, widow of the late Joseph D. Cannon, died early Friday morning, July 10, 1936, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Annise Edwards of Farmington, following a brief illness of heart trouble. She was 75 years of age.

The body was removed to the Gish Funeral Home at Piedmont and funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Midway church near Doniphan, followed by interment in Midway cemetery.

Eliza Johnston, daughter of the late William and Margaretta Ann Boulin Johnston, was born near Paducah, Kentucky, September 8, 1860. She was united in marriage in August, 1878, to Joseph D. Cannon, who preceded her in death three years. She became a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in 1880.

In 1912, the deceased moved to Ripley County, Missouri, where she lived until after her husband's death, when she came to Farmington to reside with her daughter. She is survived by two children, Boyd Cannon of Ponder, Missouri, and Mrs. Annise Edwards of Farmington; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three half sisters, Julia and Nola Crowell of Paducah, Kentucky and Mrs. Ann Carroll of Benton, Kentucky.
