| I'm not related to Henry Stewart, but I do have a connection with the Banning family. The Stewart/Banning connection is as follows (hope I don't confuse you all)...a William Stewart was married to Ann Watkins in Delaware and came to Warren County in the mid-1850's. Ann was a sister of Allifair "Allie" or "Alice" and also of my ancestor William Watkins, father of Josiah Watkins, who settled in Warren County in 1865. Allifair was married to William Banning and they came to Warren County in the mid-1850's. According to census records William Stewart was born about 1800. Does anyone know the connection between Henry Stewart and William Stewart? Was he a younger brother? ________________________________________________ Warren Republican, pg. 3 May 23, 1885 Williamsport,Warren County, Indiana HENRY STEWART, an old resident of this county, living in Warren township, aged about 76 years, died on Thursday, April 16th, and the remains were interred in the Davis Cemetery on the day following--Friday--near Green Hill.
