Looking for family of Charles F. Jacobs, b 12/1866. We thought in Clinton Co. IA but the 1900 U. S. Census for Tama Co., IA indicates he was born in Illinois. Possibly somewhere near DeWitt, IA. Whiteside Co., IL is a good possiblility. I note that Wayne Bastian's History of Whiteside Co. includes the name of Jacobs three times but there are no instructions on how to access his history. Page/s indicated for JACOBS; Charles 21, Royal 118, 220, 308 and William 287. Charles F. Jacobs was my grandfather and I would very much appreciate any help. Roger D. Ferguson
