| James S. (T. on some censuses) Cook was b. 4 Mar 1804 in Washington Co., GA. He died 2 Sep 1880 Clayton Co., GA. His homeplace stood where Fort Gillem (think not being used by military now) was in what is called Forest Park, GA today. I spoke with researchers back in the 1970-80s and know there is a family bible somewhere in the metro Atlanta area. I think he served in the Indian War (early 1800s) but don't have information on it. He md 1-Martha Mills of Washington Co., GA and had 13 children. He md 2-Mary Ann Virginia "Ginie" Farmer and they had 1 (known to me)son. He moved his family to Henry Co., GA between 1853-1856. (Part of Henry later made up part of Clayton, don't know if he moved into Clayton or lines just redrawn.) 1850 Washington Co., GA census: 231A 24 Cook James T. 44 Georgia pg0227b.txt --index-- 1850 Washington Co., GA census 24 418 418 Cook James T. 44 M Farmer 800 Georgia 25 418 418 Cook Martha 38 F Georgia 26 418 418 Cook Asberry 19 M Student Georgia X 27 418 418 Cook Mary Ann 16 F Georgia 28 418 418 Cook Elizabeth C. 15 F Georgia 29 418 418 Cook Sarah ?. 14 F Georgia 30 418 418 Cook Martha J. 12 F Georgia 31 418 418 Cook James J. 11 M Georgia X 32 418 418 Cook William B. 9 M Georgia 33 418 418 Cook Thomas G. 7 M Georgia 34 418 418 Cook Louisanna 5 F Georgia --Souisanna/aka Susannah 35 418 418 Cook ***rtida 4 F Georgia--Martilla I could use some help from other researchers from this or collateral families.
