My mother was born in St. Vincent in 1936 and left around 1951. I'm trying to find out how her family came to St. Vincent. I have some informatin only going back to my Great Grandmother - she would have been born in the mid-late 1800's. My biggest problem is the names - my mother knows them by their nicknames and the spelling is probably way off. For instance, when I asked her what my Grandfather's Mother's Maiden name was she said, "Bratcher" and I said spell that and she said "B-R-A-D-S-H-A-W". So, even after living in the States for more than half her life, she's got a language all her own.

Here's the information written with my grandmother's help on a family tree:

My Grandmother was Doris Elaine Davis and she was married to Oney Lucas.

My Grandmother had 3 sisters (Miriam, Kathleen, Lorna) and 3 brothers (Edgar, who married Rosalee Franklin, Kenneth, who married Louie Murphy and Omrie).
Her Mother was Edith Davis- her siblings were Bertie, Willie Dodd and Richard (possibly more)
Her father was Sidney Davis - son of Franklin Davis - his siblings werw Dagridge, Reuben, Edgard Qmai, Cyler, Catherine, Clarris, Winnie and Minnie.

My Grandfather was Oney Lucas. His mother was Sara Bradshaw and Joseph Lucas.

Sara Bradshaw had 5 brothers - Joseph, Jimmy, Charlie, Stanley and Johnny. And 4 sisters - Clara, Gussie, Jimie and Francis. My mom thinks that Gussie was also my Grandfather Davis's mother.

Joseph Lucas had 3 known siblings - Edmond, Anna and William.

My Grandfather had 5 known siblings - Arthur, Hubie, Dora and Branford.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,
Dawn
