Hi
I am looking for help to read the birthplace of Thomas Walker,
Durham is the first part being the the county, however I cannot read the second part and the translation of the records doesn't fit anything in existence. Bucckburn as its transcribed to be, and variations that I could find do not correspond well to the area.
Thomas walker is a very common name and it is very difficult tracing this family so far with only having the 1 child very little is known about him and I am hoping by finding his birthplace I might be able to find either sibblings or parents. b 1859
I found him in the 1881 census but he was a boarder and they put him with the hotel proprietors information and only crossed things out and put boarder after the fact. so I could not use the different handwriting to give me further clarification. with the name being so common I have not managed to pin point him before or after these census.
