TIPTON, Iowa -- Lois Winifred Mosher, 89, of 122 E. Fifth St., Tipton, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at the Muscatine Care Center, Muscatine, after complications of cancer.

Services at First United Church of Christ, Tipton. The Rev. DeLane Wright will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist, Nancy Hipple. Pallbearers are Jeff Meyer, Wayne Deerberg, Don Stiff, Darrell Brown, Roger Timm and Dave Tripp. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery, Tipton.

Visitation at the Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Memorials may be made to the T.T.T. Scholarship for girls.

Mrs. Mosher was born on Oct. 6, 1913, in Council Bluffs, the daughter of Roy Henshaw and Winifred Alma Dewey Short. She married Glendon H. Mosher on Aug. 29, 1939, in Council Bluffs.

She graduated from Council Bluffs High School in 1930 and the University of Iowa in 1934.

She taught school in Riceville, Sheldon, Waterloo, Bennett and Durant.

She was a member of First United Church of Christ, T.T.T., Open Prairie Chapter of DAR, American Cancer Society, Tipton Senior Citizen Center, Friends of the Library and Martha Circle and was a former member of the Tipton Womens Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia JoAnn Mosher of Montana; a son, Robert Mosher and his wife, Julie, of Wilton; and two grandchildren, Briana Mosher and Tom Mosher, both of Wilton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Irma Short and Irene Church.
