I am from Woodson County. I am a personal friend of Thomas
Yahola and John Proctor. I have in my possession a list of those Creeks that made the trip to Oklahoma Territory in the 1830s' Opothle Yahola died in our County. He and his princis daughter are burried in an unmarked grave in our county. I am interested in the history of this great leader. My great great grandfather commanded the Neosho Valley Home Guard during the Civil War. The Creek Indians were part of the 1st and 2nd all Indian Home Guard of Kansas
They were part of my grandfathers command.
