Actual manifest reveals more facts:
-Son Edmund Hanrahan, born New Haven 21 March 1904.
-Rodger Hanrahan, naturalized in Court of Common Pleas, New Haven, 25 Oct 1898
-Residence of both was 506 Ferry St, New Haven.

New Haven city directory shows in 1893 Rody Hanrahan, meat market, 195 Pine, subsequent directories have him sometimes living at that Pine St address and then various addresses on Poplar St. There was also a Michael and a James Hanrahan living at various Poplar St addresses.

Perhaps James Hanrahan was related in some way, found the death of a James Hanrahan in the index: died 1935-03-22, NEW HAVEN
It appears that Rody's wife was Margaret E. Grady. In the Hale Cemetery Inscription Collection it can be seen that Margaret E. Hanrahan (wife of Roger) is buried beside Daniel & Mary Grady and among the Grady children. In the 1870 and 1880 US census for New Haven there is a Maggie/Margaret Grady , born about 1861 and daughter of Daniel & Mary Grady . In the New Haven city directory for 1894 and for 1895 there is a Maggie E. Grady, dressmaker living with Daniel Grady at 209 Poplar, she is not in the 1896 city directory. In the first decade of the 20th century there is a John and Rody Hanrahan both working at 195 Pine and both residing at 209 Poplar (the Grady home of earlier years).
