According to the 1840 Amherst, Erie Co., N.Y. Census, Marshall H. Troion is age 20-30, with a female of the same age, There is a male child under the age of 5 (assume Clarence).

1850 Buffalo, N.Y. Census::

Marshall H. Tryon, age 37
Ceo E. Tryon, age 34
Francis J. Tryon, age 28
Eliza P. Tryon, age 29
Julia H. Tryon, age 24
Also listed are the 5 following children
Clarence L. Tryon, age 12
Marshall G. Tryon, age 10
George W. Tryon, age 7
Eugene M. Tryon, age 4
Sarah Louisa, age 1

These 5 children along with Charles H., who appears in the 1860 Census age 7, would give you the names of 6 children. The 7th probably died in childhood?

I did a bit of poking on the internet, and I believe Francis is Marshall's brother and Julia is his wife. Eliza could be their sister.

Ancestry has Civil War records and Pensions on their site. There's a Marshall and a Eugene listed, and you can send for their papers thru The National Archives in Wash., D.C.
