Mac User and New Search Format

I'm late to the game due to spring break distraction. I've been tinkering with the new format for a couple of days and getting the hang of it.

I'm using Firefox 3.6 browser on a Mac 10.5 OS. I haven't experienced any problems in that respect, seems pretty smooth. I've been having some lag while writing on the message boards, not sure what to attribute it to.

The new format is pretty decent, but I can see new users being completely snowed by it. It took me a couple of hours to really start moving around it with ease, and I know how to use the site to begin with.

I still miss the MAP, that old search had. That clickable feature was very user friendly, there's a lot to read, so having a visual was a periodic relief.

The "Hot Key" feature is terrific, however I can't get the "P" Preview to work. Is it suppose to open the highlighted record or do the same thing as mousing over the highlighted record to get a quick view?

I have some comments about the search page format (specifically the boxes that get filled in), and will assemble some pics to help articulate what I like about it and what I think could be tweaked. Meanwhile, I'm going to use is a bit more.

In general, I like this much better than New Search.
